Melissa Eiben, D.C.
Chiropractic Physician
Dr. Eiben's approach to treatment is that she understands the body as a functional unit. She believes that finding one's true cause for dysfunction is similar to peeling back an onion. As the many layers are peeled away the source of the problem will be discovered. This philosophy makes her a perfect fit into the Shin family and will be of great benefit to her patients.
While attending Chiropractic school, Dr. Eiben had the opportunity to intern for a well-respected orthopedic group in Florida. There she learned the skills to treat pre and post-operative spinal patients. She has attended spinal conferences where orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, and chiropractors discussed surgical patients and their various treatments. The knowledge that was gained from this experience is translated into Dr. Eiben's practice today.
Melissa Eiben, D.C, is a licensed Chiropractor whose practice is devoted to improving her patient's overall function in a non-invasive manner through manual medicine and Chiropractic techniques. As a child, Dr. Eiben witnessed first-hand, her father's recovery from a debilitating disc herniation as a result of his Chiropractic care. From that, grew a lifelong dedication and eventual decision to become a Chiropractic Physician herself.
As part of her education in becoming a Chiropractor, Dr. Eiben traveled the world and treated hundreds of patients in impoverished countries, such as Vietnam and Dominican Republic. Through these travels, she gained knowledge that no textbook can teach, such as communicating with a patient and their family when there is a language barrier. This experience also gave Dr. Eiben the opportunity to have more of a global view on healing and an open mind to different philosophies and ideas when it comes to treating a patient.
