Valentina Hoyos, LMT- Massage Therapist
Valentina's love for the arts and her extensive experience in the field, including the plastic exploration of the body as part of a body performance group, has helped her develop an aesthetic vision of the world, and all that is encompassed within it, leading to a profound interest for the well being of others.
In helping with this process her approach to what is generally known as Internal Martial Arts, through Tai Chi has been fundamental and has provided her with a vision and understanding on how everything in the world is interrelated and entwined in a way so the whole can't be fixed if the part is left defective and vice versa.
These two elements, the arts and internal understanding, along with her constant search for new answers, methods and techniques, make Valentina an exceptional massage therapist.
She understands how every client, as in the chromatic circle, is a whole universe with different saturation, tone and hue, and extrapolates this understanding into harmony for each one of them.
Valentina graduated from the Acupuncture and Massage College in Florida, and is currently a Tai Chi and Arnis apprentice, she understands how the same way one creates a piece of art through the combination of numerous factors and processes, a massage must also adapt and adjust to different problems, needs and people.
A treatment should work as a step on a ladder on which a client stands, getting closer to a state of well being only attainable by tuning up body, mind and spirit. Valentina will put together a blend of relaxing and relatively new techniques such as Swedish massage, with others that come from ancient times and that are just as comforting like Tui Na and Shiatsu to provide a client with what he/she will need to climb up to the next step.
